The overhand throwing motion of a baseball is an extremely complex activity. The effective throwing of a baseball starts from your baseball all the way through your finger tips, in what is known as the kinetic chain. The kinetic chain is the coordination of many areas of the body that allows force to be created and transferred properly. The lower half supports and generates which is transferred upwards towards the torso and throwing arm.

The throwing of a baseball at HIGH velocities involves 100% efficiency from the kinetic chain. Even the smallest malfunction can throw the entire chain off and cause a decrease in throwing velocity.

EXPO THROWING SYSTEM

It would be insane to think you can improve your throwing velocity without doing some throwing.  The Expo Throwing Series is a throwing program that scientifically strengthens and simultaneously speeds up the arm. One of the main factors of the Kinetic Chain is the acceleration of the arm. With our patented Expo Throwing System, we utilize a tested combination of overload/underload training, long tossing, and proper hip/shoulder timing. This program will increase arm speed, arm health, and will create a more explosive thrower.

MOBILITY TRAINING

We frequently discuss the importance of strength and throwing, but one of the final pieces to the puzzle is mobility. Whether it is shoulder mobility, trunk mobility, or hip mobility, a ton of athletes have no idea why they can't break the barrier from 76 to 80mph or 82mph to 90mph! Mobility of the joints is one of the largest factors in throwing velocity and healthy throwing! If the hips are tight we can't explode the way we need to! EVP now includes access to our full COMS (Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist). We will be constantly updating the program with new exercises and helping each athlete individually change their weak areas into loose, powerful muscles!

Nutrition is the MOST overlooked factor for performance for all of high school athletes!
